Legal Technology Specialist

About the Role

We're looking for a Legal Technology Specialist who can bridge the gap between legal expertise and technology implementation. You'll work directly with our product and engineering teams to ensure our compliance solutions meet the real-world needs of legal professionals and corporate clients.

In this role, you'll combine your legal knowledge with technology acumen to help design, validate, and improve our AI-powered compliance tools. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our products are both legally sound and technologically innovative, working closely with law firms and corporate legal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal expertise to guide product development and feature design
• Research and analyze corporate compliance requirements across jurisdictions
• Collaborate with clients to understand their compliance workflows and pain points
• Create and review legal content, templates, and compliance documentation
• Train AI models on legal document processing and validation
• Support customer onboarding and provide legal technology guidance
• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• 2+ years of experience in corporate law or compliance
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory requirements
• Interest in legal technology and process automation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams
• Licensed to practice law in Canada (preferred) or eligible for licensing

Nice to Have

• Experience with legal technology platforms or document automation
• Background in corporate secretarial work or minute book management
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in legal practice
• Experience working in a tech startup environment
